A Logo can be thought of as a representative symbol, which represents your brand. As such, it should visually represent what your company is about, or what you offer to customers. To achieve that goal, you need to think about 3 things: Your business’s Target Audience (who do you want to appeal to?); The main characteristics of your product or service; and Key words that are related to your industry/service (this will help with Search Engine Optimization). Just keep in mind that a logo should be simple enough for even small businesses to reproduce on business cards, letterhead, signage and websites. Make sure that it looks good as an icon or have an alternative, smaller icon that’s still reflects your brand.
A clean, simple banner ad can make all of the difference between customers noticing your business or passing it by. So, take some time to create a professional banner ad for your website—it will be well worth it in terms of web traffic. If you are on a budget, we still can create something very effective for you! It is not recommended that you try to do any graphic design yourself unless you have extensive experience in visual marketing—and even then, outsourcing might still be best option. Don’t forget about local directories, if you provide services locally these could attract people looking for businesses like yours in their area.
A business card is your identity in a physical form. If you are launching a new company, be sure to invest in professional quality cards. You may be able to find inexpensive templates online, but nothing beats hiring a graphic designer that specializes in creating marketing materials. It’s not necessary to go overboard with multiple colors and extra print—simple, professional-looking designs are often more effective. Make sure you have your contact information easy to find—with a phone number or e-mail address taking up most of the front of your card so people can easily get in touch with you if they want to learn more about your services or make an appointment for repairs.
